👋

Hello, I'm Baldur Logi - a Software Engineer. I am currently open for web development service for small businesses & personal portfolios.

About me

After completing dual B.Sc. degrees in Engineering Management and Computer Science, I embarked on a journey to Copenhagen to expand my horizons. I began with a coding bootcamp at Codecademy, where I delved into full-stack web development and iOS development with Swift. I then evolved into a DevOps Developer at Forsia Forsikring, where I contributed to deployment optimization, infrastructure automation, and cloud migration. Today, I work as a Software Engineer at Predicti, building data pipelines and cloud infrastructure that power predictive insights for the Nordic finance sector.

What excites me most about tech is the thrill of problem-solving and the potential to create impactful solutions. My technical expertise spans data engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in Python, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS, as well as front-end tools like React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. I'm currently open to freelancing opportunities to bring my diverse skill set to exciting projects.

Beyond the screen, I enjoy staying active, exploring fashion, cooking and baking, discovering music, and spending quality time with friends and family.

My skills

My experience

Software Engineer @ Predicti

Copenhagen, Denmark

I build production data pipelines that transform raw financial and external data into predictive insights for Nordic financial institutions. Using Python, I develop ETL applications that extract data from Danish and Swedish sources, transform them into structured events, and stream them through Kafka to power life event predictions. My work spans the full stack. From application development to infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, GitOps deployments via ArgoCD, and Kubernetes orchestration on AWS. I ensure pipeline reliability and performance using Docker, Grafana, and Prometheus across dev and production environments.

2025 - present

Freelance Web Developer

Copenhagen, Denmark

I started freelancing as a Web Developer driven by a passion for building up-to-date digital experiences that help businesses thrive online. Specializing in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS, I focus on modernizing and optimizing websites for better performance and user engagement. My recent work involved redesigning an existing site to a reactive site with a mobile-first approach, improving performance, accessibility, and user engagement. I streamline front-end development by building scalable UI components and integrating third-party APIs, ensuring seamless functionality. By collaborating closely with clients, I translate business needs into interactive, high-performance web applications. Through clean, maintainable code and best practices in SEO and responsiveness, I help businesses enhance their online presence and user experience.

DevOps Developer @ Forsia Forsikring

Copenhagen, Denmark

I joined Forsia Forsikring with minimal DevOps experience and am now the lead DevOps Developer. My role focuses on optimizing deployment across environments using GitHub Actions, achieving a 95% reduction in package size and a 75% decrease in deployment time. I implemented a trunk-based development model and leveraged Kubernetes and ArgoCD for automation, enhancing scalability and reliability. As the primary contact for cloud partners and digital vendors, I strengthen cross-functional communication and support our shift to a cloud-based platform.
